Ginkgo

Today is the first anniversary of my young Ginkgo tree’s life here in Karinaland. He came on the last day of November, naked – with a handful of yellow leaves still dangling. He took to his spot on the front hill, thriving in spring and summer. The circle is full now: baby Ginkgo displays his golden splendor, and then he lets go of his riches. Turning inward, falling quiet, pulled down into the deep dark moist root kingdom to replenish. Time to dream…

Three weeks ago, Ginkgo still in golden dress-up

  1. I have read this post to so many people as your words bring us all a profound deep joy. We can all feel the power of his Ginkgo Glory! Antonia said that she will think of this every time she plants a new tree! Thanks Karina for a most beautiful post. It is Time to Dream...

  2. Such a beautiful tree! Was so nice meeting a new plant friend yesterday, violet. Enjoying some violet tea and the sweet pop of eating a violet bud... So dreamy 🥰

    1. yeah, this winter tiny white violet flowers are coming out super early in Karinaland – making tea with flowers and leaves in glass cups is my favorite, watching as they drift and dance... Happy to share with you, Emma, after working in garden :)
